Les Nottle was a College member working in the field of children’s entertainment and magic.

He billed himself as a Magical Clown but unlike a number of his contemporaries working in the same field he could also perform a Punch & Judy Show that met the most demanding standards of his Professor colleagues.

Les was particularly proud that one client had booked him for twenty five consecutive years.

A genial man, he was equally at home in drawing rooms or theatres and said he was happy to perform to an audience of two people or a thousand.

He took part with great enthusiasm in the celebrations for Mr. Punch’s 325th birthday in Covent Garden in 1987.
